Tim and Bernardine Moore call Chester, Nova Scotia home. They first came to Barbados many years ago and fell in love with it. They have spent a lot of time in Barbados since, and love every moment they spend in Barbados.

Tim is the founder of several national companies including two national movie companies Van Lines and Premiere Executive Suites, an a national provider of furnished limited-term accommodations. Tim currently has extensive holdings in the real estate industry, the self-storage industry, the nursing home industry, and the financial services business.

Born in Montreal, Tim has received an Honorary Degree in History from Wilfred Laurier University, is a recipient of the “Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal” for making significant contributions to Canada, the community and fellow Canadians. He is the recipient of numerous business awards, and the author of several business books. Tim resides in Chester, N.S.

John and Marcia Scherer live in Rochester, New York on the shores of Lake Ontario. They first came to Barbados on their honeymoon over thirty years ago and have been returning ever since. John is a former director of one of the Kodak Research Laboratories. Marcia is a research psychologist in disability and rehabilitation technologies, with an international reputation, having published over 200 scientific papers and nine books. John and Marcia love the Southeast coast of Barbados and have been vacationing in the Crane Beach area for many years.

The Scherer's met the Moores while at vacation at the Crane Beach - and decided to develop the Cragmere property together. They worked closely on all the details of construction design, materials and fabrication to build a luxury villa that takes advantage of the spectacular sea cliff location.

Senator Donald Oliver is a barrister, teacher, entrepreneur, advocate and statesman, Senator Donald H. Oliver has served the people of Nova Scotia and Canada with honour, distinction and achievement for more than 40 years.

After graduating from Dalhousie University and being called to Bar in Nova Scotia, Senator Oliver built a highly successful practice as a civil litigator and taught law at several universities. Later, as a highly respected member of the Conservative Caucus and chair of Senate Standing Committees, he has advanced public policy in areas ranging from finance, agriculture, forestry, communications and transportation to banking, trade, commerce, human rights and employment equity.

In addition, Senator Oliver established and now leads two companies, is considered an expert on corporate governance and is a director of or consultant to several Canadian corporations. He also continues to volunteer his time and expertise to community and cultural organizations throughout Canada and has earned three honorary doctorates and other prestigious awards in recognition of his service.

Allen Church:

Allen became our Managing Partner in January 2002, after being the partner-in-charge of the firm's tax practice for over three years.

Allen’s areas of expertise are corporate reorganizations, Scientific Research and Experimental Development tax credit claims as well as succession and estate planning. His indepth tax knowledge is a key to keeping the firm on its toes and at the cutting edge of tax innovation.

Allen joined EvansMartin in 1990 after gaining several years’ experience in a national accounting firm. He has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and obtained his CA designation in 1987. Allen was admitted to the partnership in 1994.

When he manages to tear himself away from the Income Tax Act, “Big Al” enjoys a good round of golf and building his wine collection.

Terry Moore:

With a specialized career spanning 30 years, Terry Moore, Executive Consultant to Office Move Pro (Calgary), clearly knows and understands the moving industry. Terry started AMJ Campbell Van Lines in Western Canada in 1978, assuming for 25 years the role of company Partner, President and CEO of AMJ Campbell Calgary.

In 2003, Terry founded King’s Transfer Van Lines, acting as President and CEO until he sold his interest in the company in 2008. During that time, Terry brought the company to the distinction of holding a number three position in Canada.
